perfect rice!
"i've been a long time Zojirushi user but decided to give Cuckoo a try, and it did not disappoint! we consume multigrain brown rice mostly. Z's setting left it really soft. as a family of four, cook time is important. Zoji took well over an hour; we cut it to 47 minutes using their "Quick" setting, but that gave the rice too firm a texture. PROS: multigrain turbo setting is perfect in both cooked rice texture and cook time (33 minutes). smaller footprint than my Zoji, but have to slide it from the wall to access the drip tray (see CONS). CONS: Cuckoo has a drip tray, a small one. it overflowed during an AutoClean session. Zoji design requires no drip tray. Cuckoo doesn't have a rice scoop holder; Zoji does. (i applied a stick-on holder. ) Cuckoo steam vent is LOUD (sounds like a pressure cooker) despite reviews claiming it's silent. as expected, stainless steel bowl takes effort to clean compared to non-stick. will use both AutoClean and SoakClean functions regularly. back-to-back cooking will be an issue, but fortunately these events are rare. despite more CONS, Cuckoo's perfect rice in shorter time trumps them"
